United Kingdom

Flights disrupted at London Stansted Airport: Flight disruptions have been taking place at London Stansted since May 27 due to an overnight lightning strike impacting an aircraft fuelling. Several flights have been cancelled while a considerable number have been diverted to airports more than 100 miles away. No initial reports on when operations would return to normalcy have been disclosed.
Greece

The Confederation of the Greek Workers and Association of the Civil Servants have announced a 24-hour strike will take place Wednesday 30 May. In addition, Air Traffic Controllers have announced a 3-hour stoppage from 10:00 to 13:00 (local time) on the same day.
USA

A powerful storm recently swept across the Northeast causing damage and power outages in some locations of Connecticut and New York. As an update to service outages, all Post Offices in the storm impacted areas of the Connecticut Valley and Westchester NY Districts are now open.
Sweden

Disruptions reported in postal operations: On May 29, Postnord Sweden informed about disruptions presented in sending PREDES messages since May 28. Disruptions have not reportedly affected all postal operators. Postal sources indicated that operations would return to normal on May 29.
Netherlands

Flights disrupted at Amsterdam Airport: it was reported that at least 17 flights have been canceled and six flights have been delayed at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) since May 29 due to weather conditions. No specific information on when operations would return to normalcy has been provided.
France

Air traffic controllers to strike on May 26: industry sources are reporting that workers at the Marseille Air Traffic Control Centre are calling for a 48-hour strike starting at 6:30 am local time on May 26. Flights to and from southern France can expect to be disrupted. On May 21, Marseille air traffic controllers staged a 24-hours strike.

Flight operations resumed at Paris airport: On May 28, French sources informed that flight operations are normalizing at Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG). At least nine flights were canceled and an additional 38 flights delayed on May 27 due to a storm in the region. Possible residual disruptions could be expected.
USA

On Monday 28 May, subtropical storm Alberto landed on the eastern Florida coast. During the week the storm moved up through the United States to Michigan on Thursday 31 May. Deliveries in the regions that have been affected by the storm can suffer minor delays.
India

Postal workers end nationwide strike: Media sources reported on May 31 that Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) postal workers ended a nationwide strike across India. The strike began on May 22 over demands for a new pay agreement. Disruptions to postal delivery services were reported across the country.
South Africa

South Africa has continued to experience abnormally high volumes of parcels since last autumn and the processing of import parcels remains in a state of being substantially delayed. Therefore, all services to South Africa are subject to severe delays affecting our globalvalue and globalpriority services.
Our globalexpress service remains unaffected. Further updates will be provided when they become available.
Guatemala

The designated operator of Guatemala, Correos y Telégrafos, asks to inform: the procedure under way to enable Correos y Telégrafos to carry out its activities as designated operator and to hire additional staff is currently in its final phase. As a result, international letter-post, parcel-post and EMS services (inbound and outbound) will continue to be disrupted.
Correos y Telégrafos asks operators to continue to hold items to be sent to Guatemala until services have been re-established.

During the Eid celebration, there will be no deliveries to the Countries listed below. Exact dates will be confirmed closer to the celebration.
The following countries will be impacted: Bahrain, Bangladesh, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates and Yemen.
